Most holiday makers think of las Palmas as just an airport and dash away to the southern coasts as quickly as possible,but the real Las Palmas is some 20 kilometers further North.
The next time you visit Gran Canaria spend a day in Las Palmas and discover its many attractions.Las Canteras beach is one of the finest anywhere in the Canary Islands and is surrounded by many quality shops,bars and restaurants.
You would need to spend much time to see all that the city has to offer but you can get a taste by spending a day of your holidays there.One word of warning Las Palmas is a very busy city and parking can be a problem but there are many sight seeing tours available.
